Auditions Exercise: Looptid

Carolina Thunder is proud to announce the return of "Looptid," a paradiddle exercise from the 2000-2001 ensembles. This exercise concentrates on (you guessed it) paradiddles. Please memorize this piece if you are planning to audition for the 2010-2011 ensemble.

2010 Ensemble Auditions

We are excited to announce the audition dates for the 2010 Carolina Thunder/Carolina Panthers season. This year’s ensemble promises to be much higher profile with performances including pre-game and half-time at Carolina Panthers home games. Additionally, we will soon announce exciting new corporate sponsorships.

Auditions will be held at Olympic High School on Saturday, May 1st as and Saturday May 15th. The audition days will begin at 1pm and will conclude at 5:30pm.

Instrumentation plans for the 2010 ensemble:

9 Snares
5 Tenors
5 Basses
5 Cymbals

Halftime Performance

Carolina Thunder and the TopCats will perform "Thunder and Lightning" during halftime at Bank of America Stadium on Sunday, January 3rd. Be sure to catch the season closer performance as it will be a unique, high-energy halftime experience.
